Syringa vulgaris

Lilacs bloom for just a few short weeks in the spring, and their rich, heavy scent is bound to attract your attention. If you have a chance to harvest the flowers yourself, do so, and dry them for magical use later. Lilac is associated with love and romance, particularly new, flirtatious relationships. It is also used in banishing rituals, both to eliminate negative energy and to get rid of pesky, malevolent spirits. Use the dried flowers or fresh flowers for magical workings.
